A first-person shooter on the free PrBoom engine: color-keyed mazes, enemies that wake to the sound of your gun, a shotgun saved for the wrong moment and secrets behind walls that don't look like walls. The content comes from the Freedoom project: maps, sprites, textures, sounds and music made from scratch and released under the BSD license, with no commercial files at all. It runs here on the portal's libretro emulator, with the prboom engine.
A first-person shooter through a maze of corridors, rooms and locked doors. You walk, shoot and look for the exit of each level, and colored doors only open with the key of the same color, hidden somewhere on the map. Enemies wake up to the sound of your gun. The content comes from the Freedoom project, and it runs here on the portal's emulator.
On the keyboard, the arrows walk and turn; S fires, X opens doors, holding A runs, Q and W strafe, E and R switch weapons, ESC opens the menu. On a phone, the d-pad sits on the left and the buttons on the right: TIRO fires, ABRE opens, CORRE runs, ARMA switches weapon, LADO on the shoulders strafes, and MAPA and MENU sit apart. On a gamepad, X fires, A opens, Y runs and the shoulders strafe.
The bar at the bottom shows health, ammo, armor and the keys you already hold. Each level has an exit to the next, and the map (right Shift on the keyboard) draws what you have already seen. There are secrets behind walls that do not look like walls. Difficulty is picked in the menu. New weapons and ammo are scattered across the map, and each weapon has its own ammo.
